Beyoncé Goes from Workout to Treat Yoself (Just Like Us)

You know how you sometimes reward yourself with a post-workout treat? Beyoncé, too.

Here’s one for the “celebrities are just like us” file: You know how you maybe sometimes reward yourself with a treat after a workout? Maybe not a super-healthy treat? Maybe something that totally probably undoes all the calorie-burning you’ve just done at the gym? Maybe something totally decadent like … a cupcake?

Beyoncé may know just what you’re talking about.

The pop superstar was recently spotted leaving her SoulCycle class — still in her track clothes and trainers — carrying her phone in one hand and in the other a Tupperware container filled with what appear to be homemade cupcakes (chocolate with vanilla frosting, perhaps?).

Now to be fair, we don’t know if the “Lemonade” singer was going to eat the cupcakes herself. Perhaps she was on her way to share them with her family or a friend. (And if she did eat them, they certainly don’t seem to have done her any harm.) But that didn’t stop people from reacting as if she were when images showing Bey with cupcake container in hand surfaced on the fan Twitter feed @Bey_Legion.

“A queen needs to treat herself once in a while,” wrote one commenter.

“Eating cupcakes after a workout.... a LEGEND,” gushed another.

Now why don’t people say that when we scarf down baked goods after working out.

I guess maybe celebrities aren’t just like us after all.
