It tastes like childhood comfort, she says.

It used to seem like a celebrity hadn’t truly made it until they launched a liquor brand. Now there’s another way for big names to display their star power: collaborating on a namesake Oreo cookie flavor. Post Malone did it in a scrumptiously swirly way back in January. Now it’s Selena Gomez’s turn, and her eponymous cookie collab looks possibly even more delicious.
Oreo says Gomez worked closely on the development of the new Limited Edition Selena Gomez Oreo cookies. Inspired by the artist’s love for horchata — a sweet, creamy, cinnamon-flavored beverage popular in Mexico, Spain and beyond — Selena’s Oreo cookie is a “sweet-and-spiced flavor combo” that includes “a layer of chocolate and cinnamon flavor creme atop a layer of sweetened condensed milk flavor creme with cinnamon sugar inclusions, all sandwiched between two chocolate cinnamon flavored wafers,” according to a press release.
Like Post Malone’s Oreos, these cookies also feature six embossments inspired by Gomez, including one that says Selenators, in a nod to Gomez’s dedicated fan base. One “exclusive” cookie featuring Gomez’s signature can be found in about every third pack of cookies. It is, the brand says, “the first time the Oreo brand has ever put an autograph on an Oreo cookie.”
"Making my own Oreo cookie was a lot of fun. I grew up loving them, so being able to be a part of the process was a full-circle moment," Gomez says in the press release. "I wanted to find a way for it to feel comforting and have a bit of nostalgia from my childhood. The cinnamon flavor gives it this horchata feel, and I'm excited for my fans to try it.”
In tandem with the cookies’ release, Oreo will also donate to Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund, which aims to increase youth access to mental health services and education around the world.
"Tapping into Selena's world — her cultural roots, her loyal fan base, her musical journey — propels the Oreo brand's cultural relevance and playful personality to new heights," Michelle Deignan, vice president of Oreo, U.S., says. "This collaboration embodies our commitment to delighting our consumers in unexpected ways and further establishes our footprint in the music industry.”
The Limited Edition Selena Gomez Oreo cookies will be available for U.S. presale online starting June 2 and will roll out to retailers nationwide starting on June 9. They’ll also be available in Canada and Brazil starting on June 9 and in Australia and New Zealand on June 17, while supplies last.
