Girl Scout Cookie ordering season is already here, but while we still have a while to wait before those boxes of S’mores and Tagalongs actually arrive, you can get a taste of one classic cookie a few weeks early thanks to Wendy’s.
The burger chain has teamed up with Girl Scouts to give its creamy Frosty treats a Thin Mints makeover starting in February. The Thin Mints Frosty puts a twist — or should we say “swirl” — on the classic soft-serve treat by adding a drizzle of Thin Mints-flavored sauce to the cup. The announcement from Wendy’s says the Thin Mints drizzle has a crumbly, cookie butter-like consistency and offers another way to enjoy the taste of Thin Mints in their frozen form. (You are freezing your Thin Mints, aren’t you?)
Technically speaking, the release of Thin Mints Frosty is like getting two new flavors instead of one. That’s because you can choose to add the Thin Mints swirl to whichever base Frosty flavor you choose, chocolate or vanilla.
The Thin Mints Frosty is also somewhat unique for including a sauce spiraled around the inside of the cup before the Frosty base is poured in, joining only the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, released in 2024 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Spongebob Squarepants (along with a Krabby Patty Kollab Meal) which featured a pineapple mango swirl.
Frosty flavors that aren’t chocolate are relatively new. While the chocolate Frosty has been around since Wendy’s inception in 1969, it wasn’t until 2006 when vanilla was finally added as a second option. Then it took until 2022 for a new strawberry flavor to temporarily take vanilla’s spot in the machines for the summer. This has since been followed up by other seasonal offerings, including pumpkin spice, peppermint, sea salt caramel and orange dreamsicle.
The Thin Mints Frosty will hit Wendy’s locations nationwide beginning Friday, February 21, 2025 for a limited time.
