With many of us cooking and eating all of our meals at home over the past year, we have started to take our home pantry a bit more seriously. At a time when it feels like many of our favorite luxuries have been put on pause, there’s something to be said about treating ourselves right when we can. Whether that means getting the good olive oil or the freshest local produce, if we’re going to be cooking and eating at home all the time, those meals are going to have to become something a bit more special.

Of course, to many, family pasta night is pretty special. There’s a vast big selection of jarred pasta sauces in the grocery aisle, and they come with a wide range of quality and price. For many, though, Rao’s Homemade has been seen as the top of the heap.

That proverbial top of the heap may have just gotten a bit fancier thanks to Rao’s new Limited Reserve Line. It features a range of sauces and condiments. However, the star of the show is the Truffle Marinara Sauce, made with their signature Italian tomatoes blended with white Italian truffles. This is a limited release, which sells for $16, so it won’t be around for long. What makes something feel even more exclusive than including truffle shavings and being a bit of a splurge? Being in limited quantity! These jars will only be available on the brand’s website and was made to be a limited run.

Other standout items in the line include a 30-Year Aged Balsamic Condiment that is going for a staggering $130, and a $45 bottle of Ligurian Olive Oil. On the antipasti side, there’s items like a Mediterranean Olives ($13), which is a slightly spicy mix of green and black olives and a Black Olive Spread ($9) that is a perfect tapenade to add to a crusty piece of bread at the next cocktail party.

“For years, Rao's Homemade has created premium Italian foods that bring families and friends around the table to enjoy a delicious, wholesome meal together,” said Risa Cretella, Executive Vice President, Group General Manager at Rao’s Homemade, in a statement to media. “Consumers are seeking new ways to elevate their meals at home, and we’re excited to provide that with the launch of Rao's Homemade Limited Edition Reserve.”

As trendy restaurant chain Carbone just launched their own high-end pasta sauce a few months ago, it would seem the upscale jarred sauce wars are fully in effect, and we’re all winners for it.

This new line is available on Raos.com, as supplies last.
