Multitasking

Then for their Main Dish Challenge, the recruits are surprised to learn that they must cater a cocktail party for 30 guests. The Chefs demo how to make a basic crostini, and each recruit must put his/her own personal spin on that dish, as well as make an additional hors d'oeuvre from a recipe created by their Chef. The party guests weigh in on the results.

The final four compete in a "Culinary Decathlon" Skill Drill to test their knowledge thus far. Then, the chefs teach their recruits a complicated dessert technique featuring a flambé© presentation. For the Main Dish Challenge, some special guests arrive for the recruits as their loved ones reveal a favorite dish for them to prepare. The recruits must then make that dish using a recipe written by their chef and serve the flambé© dessert tableside. After the tasting, each chef decides who will advance to the final challenge.

That's So '90s: Going Coco-Nuts

Chef-mentors Anne Burrell and Jeff Mauro send their recruits on a tropical adventure by playing Legends of the Hidden Coconut. It's a race to please the island gods as the celebs must solve a recipe puzzle and then cook coconut shrimp and a dipping sauce. Then things get fishy in the main dish challenge when the celebs learn how to make seafood curry dishes. While some of the recruits crush the curry game, the two celebs with the worst dishes must compete in the blind elimination challenge.

The recruits find themselves in a dusty Wild West town where sheriffs and chefs Jeff Mauro and Tiffany Derry wrangle them into action. In the skill drill challenge, the celebs must reclaim stolen recipe ingredients and rustle up some Tex-Mex tacos. Then, it's time for a high-stakes main dish challenge: cowboy rib-eye steaks with potato and vegetable sides. The best recruits advance to the next week, but for the bottom two, it's a blind elimination cook-off showdown making loaded quesadillas with a dipping sauce.

Picnic and Unlimited Soup and Salad

Amy Schumer and her husband, Chef Chris Fischer, pack a picnic lunch to take advantage of the summer weather. Amy starts off with a Margarita "to go" while Chris makes Pesto Pasta Salad, a Chicken Cutlet BLT and Brownies for dessert. The pair makes a refreshing Watermelon and Celery Root Salad, with Chris swearing that celery root is the new fennel. Then Chris and Amy celebrate the humble soup and salad combo. While they sip Sazerac cocktails, Chris shows Amy how to make a Kale and Anchovy Salad and a comforting bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup that's main course-worthy. Chris then takes the "new fennel" out for a test drive and creates a satisfying Celery Root and Yogurt Soup, and Amy makes an enormous original salad that is heavy on the bacon and cheese.
