What’s the aroma of holiday shopping at the mall or the winter-break bustle through the airport? For some, it’s the scent of Cinnabon, wafting warmly through the air.

This year, of course, many of us won’t be spending our usual time in malls and airports, so that may be why Cinnabon has decided to offer, for the first time, its Signature Cream Cheese Frosting in take-home pint jars. Yup. Sweet!

The limited-edition frosting pints are available only during this holiday season, yes, at Cinnabon mall bakeries nationwide, and also from food delivery providers, for $5.99 and up.

And while, sure, you could eat it by the spoon straight from the jar, Cinnabon has more faith in you than that. The bakery chain has released a batch of recipes in which the frosting factors in as a key ingredient. These include Frosting-Topped Sweet Potato (“A new way to enjoy a classic holiday side dish,” according to Cinnabon), Frosting-Swirled Brownies (“A sweet twist on a favorite baked treat”), a Savory Frosting Herb Garlic Cheese Ball (“The perfect appetizer for your holiday gatherings”) and festive Frosting Snowballs (“Cake balls that can be enjoyed individually or stacked together to make little snowmen!”).

“More so this year and especially during the holidays, cooking at home and enjoying meals together are central to how families are spending their time,” Karyn Sarago, Cinnabon’s chief marketing officer, said in a news release, adding that Cinnabon fans can now bring home the chain’s Signature Frosting as “the perfect accompaniment” to holiday cooking and baking “to enhance the simple pleasures, smells, tastes and homemade love that make this time of year so special.”

If you’re looking for a fresh, hot take on gift giving this season, you probably don’t have to look (or sniff around) too hard. The pint features a festive snowman face on its package, making it gift-ready. The brand also offers delivery on buns and other merch.
