Steak night at home can be just as indulgent as a visit to your local steakhouse. It’s also less expensive, and you get to keep your sweats on. This recipe is simple, but the flavor is amped up with my version of a cowboy butter, which is just a compound butter with tons of love. This butter is also great over grilled vegetables or smeared on warm naan served with butter chicken.

Luxury is lobster and what better way to top it than with the butter of a goddess? I simply love everything about anything “green goddess.” I have shared mussels, twice-baked potatoes, a burger and yes, even a salad, all with green goddess spins. It’s worth a search. Until then, enjoy my newest obsession, and if you have some shrimp around, you know what to do!

This is a version of a viral snow globe drink that is perfect for summer celebrations. If you don’t like cranberry juice, birch beer or various red sodas work well. If you can’t find star fruit, you can cut star shapes out of pears or apples using cookie cutters and dry the shapes just as you would the star fruit.

Pop tubes are always in my refrigerator for a quick fix and I love playing with them to make them my own, or use them for a copycat. This is an easy way to get bakery or mall-worthy cinnamon rolls without all the work. I’ve added a hack seen online that fluffs up any pop-tube roll.

My time spent living in Texas brought me the wonders of Tex-Mex food, a lovely blend of Mexican flavors with the bold punch of Texas ease in the kitchen. This viral mashup recipe which is part taco and part burger is the perfect place to have fun with this style of cuisine. I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't suggest simply adding more cheese and a tortilla to top after the flip and turning this into a tasty quesadilla.

Growing up and visiting my grandparents was always filled with plenty of playtime, watching cowboy shows with my grandad, and snacks! The little packs of individually wrapped oatmeal pies were one of my favorite treats that seemed to always be there. There was something about the ones that were smooshed and stuck to the cellophane wrapper that appealed to me the most and they still do. I buy them once or twice a year to reminisce, but in a pinch, here’s a quick fix!

I start my day with oatmeal plenty because it is easy to personalize for whatever I'm feeling at the moment. At times I add peanut butter, jelly, chocolate chips, toasted coconut and more. This recipe I'm sharing now began after a trip to a coffee shop on vacation. I had a delicious cup of warmed turmeric milk and came home wanting to "turmeric milk" everything, like waffles, pancakes and even oatmeal.

One of the best things about a great meal out is having a few leftovers to take home and reimagine in the kitchen. I have made croquettes from mashed potatoes and fried leftover mac and cheese from the best restaurants. This is one of my quick fixes for take home steak. I found this unique sugar and oil technique from a Vietnamese chef online and have used it as the beginning of many sauces since. It adds a rich depth of flavor, and despite being part sugar, it doesn't make this or any savory dish too sweet. It's a nice balance, and worth adding to your repertoire.

When I think of all the quick bites I make at home, more often than not, something goes into a tortilla. They seem to stay good for a long time if you refrigerate them and are the perfect canvas for many flavors. This is an easy way to get a breakfast bite with all the pertinent needs; veggies, protein, carbs and cheese! In the dipping sauce, I substitute yogurt for the usual sour cream, but feel free to use what you prefer. I find there is very little taste difference, and the yogurt provides a bit more protein to start your day.

I love a good banana pudding, and I think making a fool and layering in the cookies is the fastest way to get the flavors without all the work. A fool is simply a dessert layered with fruit and whipped cream. I make the whipped cream sturdy by adding in some mascarpone, but you don't need it if you're serving it right away. The mascarpone helps this fool keep in the fridge longer for a late-night snack.

This is an easy and classy way to greet your guests for any occasion, just right with beer or wine. You can try this with orange zest and juice as well, and even switch up the rosemary for thyme. It’s the perfect beginning to an Italian meal.

This is a quick way to make a box mix look like your own family recipe. The curb appeal of the plums is perfect for fall, and this same effect can be achieved with peaches and pears as well. Using hot water for the box mix can wake up or bloom the spices before the bake, and the tart addition of Greek yogurt to the whipped cream pairs perfectly with the warm spices in the cake. Feel free to use sour cream as a substitute here if it's what you have on hand or what will get more action in your kitchen after being used for this recipe.

Foods can be polarizing, and I'm sure there's someone out there that doesn't like a classic PB&J, but it doesn't mean the sandwich shouldn't hold a place in the hearts of those that care.
