Sometimes it feels like nothing in life ever gets easier, but one thing just did: It is now simpler than ever to drink a Jack & Coke.

Brown-Forman Corporation, the spirits giant behind Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, and The Coca-Cola Company are teaming up to debut a Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola ready-to-drink, premixed cocktail in a can.

No measuring, no mixing: Just crack it open and … it’s cocktail hour. (Deep happy sigh.)

The canned, co-branded classic bar drink — which will have a global benchmark of 5 percent alcohol beverage volume (ABV), with some variation by market, and be marketed to those of legal drinking age — will soon launch around the world, beginning in Mexico in late 2022. It will also be available in a zero-sugar version.

James Quincey, Coca-Cola’s chairman and CEO, said he was “excited” to partner with Brown-Forman on the new product.

His enthusiasm was echoed by Lawson Whiting, Brown-Forman’s CEO and president, who said in a news release that the partnership “brings together two classic American icons to deliver consumers a taste experience they love in a way that is consistent, convenient and portable.”

“Brown-Forman has been a leader in the ready-to-drink category since we launched our first Jack Daniel’s [ready-to-drink beverages] more than 30 years ago,” Whiting said. “Coca-Cola perfectly complements Jack Daniel’s and our existing RTD offerings, enabling us to accelerate expansion and continue to grow our business around the world.”

The response to the news on social media was overwhelmingly positive.

“Let's go!!!” exclaimed one Twitter commenter.

“Collab of the year?” wondered another.

“Yay!!!!! So happy!!!” a third weighed in. “And about time!!!”
