There are certain associations we can always count on. We’ll find burgers at McDonald’s, tacos at Taco Bell and pancakes at IHOP. The same has always been true for Krispy Kreme -- it’s a great spot to get doughnuts. Except it turns out their latest new menu item isn’t a doughnut at all!

Krispy Kreme is shaking things up by rolling out new cinnamon rolls, and they sound pretty delicious. The new cinnamon rolls come in two varieties: Original Glazed Cinnamon Roll, which is a yeast-raised dough that is hand-rolled with cinnamon and then glazed and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnamon Roll, which is also a yeast-raised dough, hand-rolled with cinnamon and then glazed. However, this roll is then topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and finished with a cereal milk icing swirl.

“These are exceptional and unique cinnamon rolls. Light and airy, covered in our one and only Original Glaze and topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, these are the best cinnamon rolls you’ll ever taste,” said Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme, in a statement.

These new cinnamon rolls will be available for a limited time at participating locations, either individually or in a four pack, both in-shop and online.

From doughnut-infused ice cream to apple cider doughnuts, Krispy Kreme never stops with bringing on the flavor and variety, but cinnamon rolls feel like quite a new direction. We can’t wait to see what they roll out next.
