Experience

Born and raised in Manhattan, Kim took an unconventional path into food media. Instead of attending culinary school, she trained in the pastry kitchens at Babbo, Marlow & Sons and Diner before joining The Rachael Ray Show, where she spent more than five years as a Food Stylist and Culinary Producer. There, she developed recipes, styled thousands of dishes for television, and learned the importance of making every recipe as beautiful as it is delicious. Following the show's conclusion, she worked as a freelance recipe developer, food stylist and culinary producer for clients including Goldbelly, Bon Appétit, Epicurious, Magnolia Network and The Kitchen before joining Food Network full time.

Drawing on her experience in restaurant kitchens, television and editorial food media, Kim brings together the precision of a pastry cook, the eye of a food stylist and the rigor of a recipe developer to create approachable, dependable recipes that inspire confidence in home cooks. She especially loves baking, comfort food and giving nostalgic classics a fresh, seasonal spin.
