My mom is a very health-conscious cook, sometimes to a fault. (Sorry, Mom.) This cheesecake happens to be one of her healthy dishes that's also a standout in the taste department. I'll bet no one you serve this to would ever know it's not a straight-up full-fat cheesecake.

When I go to an Italian restaurant, I usually order tiramisu for dessert if it's on the menu. I love it as a summer dessert since it's so light. I got to thinking, why not play around with the traditional recipe and do something a little different? I used limoncello, in keeping with the Italian vibe, and added a little ginger for some zing. It's so light and refreshing, a perfect end to a summer meal on a hot night. I like making this when I serve grilled chicken Parmesan. The best part is that you can make it completely in advance.

I love dishes that can be made in advance for a dinner party. This chicken is totally simple. You marinate it in the same dish you cook it in, then pop it in the oven about 45 minutes before you want to eat. It’s so easy and flavorful—a real crowd pleaser!

I love deviled eggs. Love. I always say, “It’s not a party at my house without deviled eggs.” It’s hard to beat the classic rendition, but every now and then I’ll mix things up. I came up with this recipe for a dinner I cooked at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, where I topped them with fried oysters. They’re obviously delicious that way (anything fried, am I right?), but I like them just as well without the garnish. I’ve made them with lemon and capers so many times now, I have almost forgotten what they taste like plain!

This is one of my favorite “breakfast for dinner” recipes. Adding pasta to the frittata gives some extra heft to the dish, and it’s a great way to use up leftover pasta (or if you have a little pasta left in the bottom of the box in your pantry). A little goes a long way in this case.

Caesar salad is pretty ubiquitous on restaurant menus. I find that it's either really good or really bad, with not much in between. This recipe is my version of the ultimate Caesar. The fried capers are everything and the garlic breadcrumbs ensure that you get the flavor and crunch of croutons in every single bite.

I am obsessed with this salad – OBSESSED! Think caramelized onion dip with potato chips but as a salad. The caramelized onions add just the right element of sweetness and the sour cream gives a little tang to the creamy mayo. I like roasting the vegetables vs the usual boiling of potatoes because it gives more flavor and texture.
