Nuts and Blue Cheese Pie Sticks

Cheesy puff pastry with tuna, nuts and a drizzle of honey is the perfect sweet-and-savory snack, appetizer or finger food.

Ingredients

40 grams (about 1 1/2 ounces) mixed nuts

1 can tuna in oil, drained

1 tablespoon mayonnaise 

1 frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed 

1 egg, lightly beaten

Blue cheese, such as Gorgonzola

Freshly ground black pepper

Honey

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Roughly chop the nuts. Combine the nuts, tuna and mayonnaise in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into 6 long strips and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the pastry sticks with beaten egg. Top the pastry strips with the tuna mixture and dot with cheese. Season with black pepper.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes. Serve drizzled with honey.
